BERKELEY -- Mike Montgomery scouts tonight's opponent: Washington. The Huskies were picked to finish fifth in the conference, but stand at just 9-5 overall and 1-0 in conference play coming in to Haas Pavilion.

BERKELEY -- California head men's basketball coach Mike Montgomery talks about defending the Washington Huskies in the Bears' Pac-12 home opener at Haas Pavilion, particularly the need to minimize junior guard C.J. Wilcox (18.4 ppg) and senior guard Scott Suggs (13.5 ppg).
